Spotlight: Black Applied Behavior Analysts (BABA) - Touchstone

Spotlight: Black Applied Behavior Analysts (BABA)

As we celebrate Black History Month this February, it is important to spotlight those in the field of Behavior Analysis who are working to increase successful service delivery within the black community and elsewhere. Please take some time to check out https://babainfo.org/, the main website for the Black Applied Behavior Analysts organization. The goals of BABA are as follows:

  1. Provide a platform for minorities to have access to the field of ABA.
  2. Provide awareness to minorities regarding common diagnosis of mental and behavioral health which will aim to desensitize common misconceptions.
  3. Provide resources and cultural competence training to health care professionals in the field of behavior analysis as well as other professionals who make an impact on the success of individuals with disabilities.
  4. Conduct further research that will increase the practical knowledge and application of ABA.
Sincerely,
The Touchstone Diversity Initiative
